Community Donation Challenge for Carlisle Flood Victims

A historic flood hit our neighbors in Carlisle, Kentucky on July 30, 2021 and left behind devastated families, businesses and millions of dollars in damage.

Community comes first in our eyes, so when we heard that our neighbors needed help during that difficult time, we jumped in to assist as quickly as possible. As soon as we heard the news, our team members packed up and headed to Carlisle, where they helped with the cleanup efforts for the flood victims. They packed, stacked and organized alongside other volunteers.

To provide additional support for the recovery efforts, Shanda Smith, our president and CEO, acted quickly to get a donation challenge out to the community and surrounding neighborhoods. She issued the following statement and video to help raise donation funds with a promise that we would match all donations up to $10,000:

“We are issuing a challenge to our community and surrounding neighborhoods to help donate to the flood victims. The Rotary Club of Paris set up a donation fund at Blue Grass Federal and we will be matching all donations up to $10,000. All proceeds will go directly to the flood victims.
