Thank you to everyone who voted in our December nonprofit campaign! Your voices were heard, and we’re excited to announce that Scott/Bourbon Counties Habitat for Humanity received the most votes. They’ll receive a $500 donation from Blue Grass Federal to continue core operations so they can continue the repairs and builds for the year. This is what community banking is all about – working together to make a real impact where we live and work.
Thanks to your votes, Scott/Bourbon Counties Habitat for Humanity will receive a $500 donation from Blue Grass Federal to support their core operations, helping make homeownership possible for more families in our community.
Scott/Bourbon Counties Habitat for Humanity is committed to providing a way for everyone in our community to achieve the dream of homeownership. Through their dedication to building and repairing homes, they create stable, affordable housing that transforms lives and strengthens neighborhoods. Every home they build or repair represents a family’s fresh start and a community growing stronger together.
The $500 donation will go towards Habitat’s core operations, enabling them to continue their vital work of repairs and home builds for the upcoming year. These funds help cover essential costs that make it possible for Habitat to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing to families who need it most.
As a mutual bank, Blue Grass Federal is owned by the people who borrow or deposit with us. When you bank with your local mutual bank, the dollars you deposit have a direct, positive impact right here in your neighborhood. This donation is just one example of how we work together to strengthen our community.
During December, hundreds of community members like you cast their votes to help us decide where our donation would make the biggest impact. Your participation shows the power of community engagement and local banking.
We’re grateful to everyone who took time to vote and to all three incredible organizations who participated. AccuTran Industries, Paris-Bourbon County YMCA, and Scott/Bourbon Counties Habitat for Humanity all do vital work in our community. While there could only be one winner this year, we encourage you to support all our local nonprofits throughout 2026.
In 2024, 32% of profits were reinvested back into our communities.
We’re committed to supporting local nonprofits throughout 2026 and beyond. Stay tuned for more opportunities to help us choose where the good goes in our community.
